Paula Murphy

Executive Administrator

Paula is the Executive Administrator at McGuire Law, where she assists in managing the critical aspects of our daily operations. With a background in Family Law since 2014, Paula is known for her compassion and empathy toward clients as they navigate the complexities and sometimes emotional trials of the legal process. She firmly believes that everyone has the opportunity for success. “Perseverance transforms hope into success!”

Karen Yurack

Karen Yurack

Senior Paralegal

Karen Yurack has been a dedicated family law paralegal for more than 18 years, specializing in complex litigation. She brings a strong academic foundation to her work, holding degrees in Human Services and Psychology from Elon University and Peace University. Throughout her career, Karen has leveraged her extensive legal experience to strengthen the relationship between attorneys and clients, particularly in family law matters. Known for her calm and compassionate presence, she excels at supporting clients through the often emotional and challenging circumstances that accompany family law cases.  Karen’s attentive listening skills, meticulous attention to detail, and empathetic nature make her an invaluable resource for both clients and colleagues. Recently, Karen earned her DCA® Certified ADR Divorce Coachcredential and is excited to integrate her new training into her work with family law clients at McGuire Law by helping them navigate transitions with clarity and confidence.

When Karen is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, boating, and traveling to different beaches.

Fernanda Bataiolli

Senior Paralegal

Fernanda is an essential part of McGuire Law’s immigration legal team. Fernanda was born and raised in Brazil, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Law and Social Sciences. She worked as an attorney at a distinguished law firm in Brazil for 10 years.,

She lived in the Middle East and worked for the Brazilian Embassy in Abu Dhabi. She represented the Brazilian Government in the United Arab Emirates and worked with Brazilian citizens to provide them with information regarding visa processes, intercultural marriage, immigration, and Brazilian culture for travelers.

Fernanda has a passion for immigration based upon her own personal experience as an immigrant in the United States. She has personally faced both the challenges and joys of starting a new life in a foreign country. She believes that having compassionate and empathetic support while navigating the immigration system can make an extraordinary impact on how people adapt to a new culture, and how they insert themselves in a new community. When she lived in Brazil, she provided volunteer services for a non-profit organization that assisted children in low-income communities. She contributed to managing activities helping disadvantaged youth develop tools and skills to build their own opportunities in life.

She is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Alexa is a Junior Paralegal who works on both Family Law and Immigration Law cases. Born in Mexico and raised in Colorado, she received her paralegal certificate from Arapahoe Community College, an ABA-approved program. Alexa is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and strives to make a meaningful and positive difference in the lives of our clients.

Alexa is deeply passionate about immigration-related matters. Having gone through the immigration process herself, she understands how challenging and nerve-wracking the journey can be at times, and how difficult it is to begin a new life in a different country. Her personal experience fuels her dedication to helping clients navigate the complexities of immigration law with empathy and expertise. Alexa ensures that every client feels supported and informed throughout their journey. Looking ahead, Alexa aspires to further her education and become an immigration attorney. Her goal is to advocate for immigration rights and support immigrant communities.

In her free time, Alexa loves exploring new recipes, roller skating, trying different cuisines, and nurturing her plants. Fluent in English and Spanish, she effectively communicates with a diverse range of clients. Alexa’s multicultural background and bilingual skills are invaluable assets in her role, enabling her to connect with clients on a personal level and address their unique needs.
