What is DACA?

• Be under the age of 31

If you meet all of the above criteria, you can submit an application for DACA. Once your application is approved, you will be granted deferred action for a period of two years. Deferred action is a form of prosecutorial discretion, which means that although you are technically still in the United States without status, immigration enforcement officials have agreed to defer any action on your case. This means that as long as you maintain your DACA status, you will not be deported from the United States. In addition, you will be able to obtain a work permit, which will allow you to work legally in the United States.
